If the Holy Ghost gives the messenger enough boldness to deliver His Word, then the messenger must have enough faith to speak the truth of God’s Word, even when the message is not popular.
The Kingdom of God is not set up like a political campaign, where Jesus is trying to win an office. Heaven is not counting “likes,” applause, shares, or public approval to determine whether truth is still truth.
God’s Word does not need permission from culture to remain holy. It does not need agreement from the crowd to remain powerful. It does not change because the times have changed, and it does not become less true because fewer people want to hear it.
The messenger’s responsibility is not to make the Word acceptable to everyone. The messenger’s responsibility is to be faithful to the One who sent the Word.
This does not mean truth should be delivered with arrogance, cruelty, or pride. The same Holy Ghost who gives boldness also produces love, humility, wisdom, and self-control. But love does not require silence when God has spoken.
There will be times when obedience costs approval. There will be times when truth is misunderstood, rejected, or resisted. But the messenger must remember this: we are not called to win popularity contests. We are called to bear witness to Jesus Christ.
Selah.
