UPROOTING RACISM: UNMASKING THE SIN, CLEANSING THE CHURCH©

A call to the Body of Christ to confront racism with truth,
repentance, and unity before the return of the King.

We must kill the root of racism - not just cope with its symptoms - if we are to survive its grip on society.

Over the years, I’ve found myself in various communities that profess a commitment to equal rights. Yet in every space - whether it’s the Church, academia, the LGBTQ community, or political arenas - racism still rears its ugly head. From the office, homes, hospitals, schools, and other social settings, it demands attention and insists on its right to exist.

To be quite frank, I no longer have the energy for symbolic marches or seasonal outrage. What I do have energy for is an ongoing movement - led by our young people - with a clear mission to expose racism and root it out from the soil of our systems and souls.

As the founder and spiritual overseer of Center Fellowship of Christ Ministries USA-Africa and the producer of the Faith and Race Video Series at #CFOCMFaithandRace, I’m committed to tracing the history of racism in America, laying bare its devastating timeline, and exposing the complicity of the Christian Church and its need to repent. This isn’t about party lines or empty slogans; it’s about truth-telling and transformation.

I'm exhausted by the cycle of peaks and valleys: one year of calm, the next year shattered by tragedy. It’s a disgrace to our nation that Black people still have to “March on Washington” in the 21st century to defend our right to vote. The failure to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act is a moral failure. And the 1965 Voting Rights Act still remains vulnerable to reversal. Unbelievable!

As someone who continues to walk alongside leaders in ministry, I’ve grown increasingly burdened by how the pulpit—across racial lines—has sometimes become a platform for political division rather than spiritual direction. It is especially disheartening when disagreements over complex issues, such as abortion or education, are used to draw lines between believers, sometimes reinforcing racial suspicion instead of fostering unity.

While not all who hold conservative political views are motivated by racism, we must be honest about how racial bias can be disguised as mere ideology and how easily the Gospel can be overshadowed by partisanship.

We must also stop treating tragedies like the deaths of Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, George Floyd, and so many others as isolated incidents. These are not mere accidents but part of a troubling pattern that reveals deeper societal and spiritual dysfunction.

Through the Faith and Race Video Series at #CFOCMFaithandRace, we are committed to exploring these patterns honestly by calling the Body of Christ to confront hard truths, seek healing, and walk in the unity and justice that reflect the heart of our Savior.

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil… who justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away justice from the righteous man!”(Isaiah 5:20, 23 NKJV). This is not just a societal crisis - it’s a spiritual one.

Our hope must now rise higher than politics and programs. It must elevate consciousness. We must desire reconciliation more than religious respectability. It’s time to stop politicizing the Gospel and start living it.

There is no superior skin in Heaven or on the Earth!
