GOD CARES ABOUT YOU! ©

Beloved,

I’m not sure if there is ever a "right" time to lose someone you love even when you earnestly believe that he or she is in a "better place" with God. And I also don’t know at what period in our lives - if any - the loss of a loved one can best be handled since the death that the Bible says has no sting burns in a very real and painfully pulsating way for those of us who are still living. What I do know, however, and because I have experienced loss in my life, is that although it does hurt when someone you love leaves you and although there is a never-ending presence of their absence always felt, one is still able to find a strengthening comfort in God.

If we are honest about it, there are many questions some of us would admit having concerning world events and in our own personal lives that are never really answered in the literal sense of a definition. Most of us realize that being a Christian does not exempt us from hardships, and it is only because of our belief in the One who died for our sins that we have hope and are strengthened amid it all. And although some of these things occurring in our lives hurt and oftentimes do not make sense, the One in Whom we believe does. And, it is because of our belief in Jesus the Christ we can withstand it. It is because of Abba, our Father's love we can bear it; because of His Son's sacrifice, we can carry it; and it is because of God's indwelling Holy Spirit we find comfort despite it.

I pray that you stay mindful of the fact that God loves you even in your darkest hours and remember that He is always willing to help you through it all and in every situation if you allow Him to do so. In the name of Jesus Christ and the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
