JEHOVAH GOD is still I AM, and there is no one or nothing more holy, powerful, creative, merciful, gracious, beautiful, natural, faithful, intelligent, wiser, protective or loving than the One God revealed as FATHER in creation, SON in redemption, and HOLY GHOST in the church. One GOD as Spirit was there in the beginning speaking life into existence all by His GLORIOUS SELF!
Everything that began owes its existence to a cause according to the “cause and effect” argument. The Principle of Causation determines that one phenomenon (the effect) is caused by another phenomenon. For example, where there is mental illness, there is brain damage; where there is a house, there is a builder; where there is light, there is electricity; and if you put your hand in the fire, it will burn. The American Transcendentalist and renowned philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson, who turned away from the Christian faith as an ordained Unitarian minister after his wife died of tuberculosis, was quoted as saying “Shallow men believe in luck or in circumstance. Strong men believe in cause and effect.” “The man who grasps principles often can successfully handle his own methods; but the man who tries methods ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.”
One cannot acknowledge creation (nature, animals, human beings, etc.) without acknowledging the creator (God). Where there is creation, there is a creator and Jehovah God is still I AM.
When God the Father became human and revealed Himself as God the Son, He began an earthly ministry at the age of 30 by performing miracles, preaching, healing, teaching and calling His disciples. When teaching sinners about sin, He challenged the accusers to look at themselves before “condemning” another; in like fashion, He commanded the accused to “go and sin no more” (John 8). It was just that simple. Applied learning at its best. He didn’t spend time condemning the accused nor did He spend time condemning the accusers. He moved on after the teaching moment and continued to teach His disciples and followers as well as win souls for the Kingdom of God making declarative statements like: “I am the Light of the world: he who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of Life.”
Jesus didn’t waste time trying to convince folks of who He was because He knew He was who He was; and as disciples of the Gospel laboring in the harvest, we also don’t have to waste time trying to convince nonbelievers about who God is because Who He is, He is, and “He that comes to God must believe that He is…” (Hebrews 11:6) It is through His power and because of His wisdom souls are saved, healed, delivered, and set free. It is through His power and because of His wisdom men and women are brought to repentance willing to turn away from sin. Jesus, the Christ, is still LORD and Jehovah God is still I AM! Don’t get it twisted!
